An exciting Moto2 season opens in Doha, this year even more awaited because of the new Triumph engine.

Team Italtrans starts as a protagonist with Andrea Locatelli who registers the 5th best lap time in FP1 on Friday. However, some problems during qualifying do not allow him to start the race from a good position but he concludes the racing weekend close to the Top 10, in 13th position.

At his debut in Moto2, his team-mate Enea Bastianini gets a wonderful 9th position. The Italian rider is the best rookie and the author of a race to be remembered. After a good start from the 4th row, a contact with another rider do not allow him to be among the leading group but he keeps a good race pace throughout the race and closes in 9th position.
